A sofa maker in Kayseri sped up assembly by CNC-cutting and labeling frame parts.
Bozkir Sofas used to cut solid wood and plywood frame parts with saws and manual templates. With a KR-1530 ATC and KW-PS 3200, frame parts are nested and labeled in assembly order.
Results
- Assembly errors fell by 80%
- Plywood waste dropped from 14% to 7%
- Model changeover time fell from 2 hours to 10 minutes
